Mythmaking
Kateřina Šedá on her structual method at the Inspiration Forum 2014
Czech artist Kateřina Šedá (born in 1977 in Brno) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Her work comprises mainly happenings and experiments. Her projects try to break the engrained stereotypes and social isolation of the participants. In 2011, she collaborated with the London’s Tate Modern on the project From Morning Till Night, in which the citizens of Bedřichovice moved to London to pursue their everyday activities – sweeping the ground, washing their cars, etc. – in the city’s public space. Jan Gogola jr. made a documentary dedicated to Kateřina entitled Kateřina Šedá: Mythmaking (2013).
